Northern Storage Suite is a software solution that adds value to both small and large environments. The size and rate of activity within an environment affects the demands placed on the software and as such the system on which the software is running. As such Northern offers three recommendations for minimum system requirements.

Please identify the applicable environment description and follow the guidelines as shown:
Small - an environment with less than 1’000 users or less than 10 TB of storage to be managed.
Medium - an environment with between 1’000 and 10’000 users or between 10 and 25 TB of storage to be managed.
Large - an environment with more than 10’000 users or more than 25 TB of storage to be managed.

Small

Managing Host Hardware:
•    CPU: 4 core Intel Xeon 5500 or equivalent
•    RAM: 4 GB (6GB if DBMS is running on same machine)
•    HDD: 10 GB available disk space

•    EMC: DART 5.6 or later with CEPA installed
