Northern Closes Largest Sale In Company’s 13 Year History

Stockholm, Sweden – February 16, 2009:  While reports project IT spending to decline as the global economy continues to worsen, Northern, a leading provider of storage resource management software solutions, is looking to capitalize on the growing need for tools and solutions that promise to cut costs, reduce overhead and promote operational efficiencies.

Despite – or perhaps due to – tight IT budgets, Northern saw a rise in sales during the last quarter of 2008, a trend that has continued entering Q1 of 2009. To underscore these positive sales trends, Northern just completed the largest sale in the company’s 13 year history: a $1 million plus purchase by a large organization within the public sector through one of the world’s premier system integrators.

The customer selected Northern Storage Suite to control escalating user-generated data, plan for future storage needs, reduce data growth, maximize their investment in storage hardware and minimize “hidden” costs associated with storage administration.
